Early Christian Spirituality
Christian spirituality reflects the radiance of Christian faith in daily life. It implies theology, and calls for asceticism, but has its own definition. It matures in the consciousness by means proper to inself - that is, through charisms and intutions of basic and verifiable evidence of the meaning of human life, as well as through convictions about another life, a life in God. Christian spirituality today may be regulated by well-defined rules of traditional piety, or by assumptions born of newly discovered forms of freedom with regard to these rules.
